Allowing Evening Trading in internationally linked Agricultural Commodities

In terms of the directives of Forward Markets Commission (FMC) trading timings in the futures contracts are extended for the following commodities:

Soya Oil
Soya Meal
Crude Palm Oil
RBD Palmolein
Cotton
Kapas
Cotton Seed Oil Cake
Cotton Seed
Sugar
Maize

The trading timings shall be till 11:30 p.m./ 11:55 p.m.* IST (*during US day light savings period). The extended trade timings, where applicable, will be effective from April 1, 2014 onwards.

Days	Timings	Commodities
Monday to Friday	10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.	All agricultural commodities other than internationally linked agricultural commodities as notified by FMC from time to time.
Monday to Friday	10.00 a.m. to 11.30 p.m./ 11:55 p.m.* (*on account of US day light saving timings and subject to FMC approval)	All non-agricultural commodities and internationally linked agricultural commodities as notified by FMC from time to time.

MCX announced a circular in terms of the directives of Forward Markets Commission (FMC) that the trading timings in the internationally linked Agricultural Commodities futures contracts are revised as under:

Days	Timings	Commodities
Monday to Friday	a) 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.	All agricultural commodities other than internationally linked agricultural commodities as notified by FMC from time to time.
	b) 10.00a.m. to 11.30 p.m./ 11:55 p.m. * (* on account of US day light saving timings and subject to FMC approval)	All non-agricultural commodities.
	*c) 10.00a.m. to 9.00 p.m./ 9:30 p.m. (* on account of US day light saving timings and subject to FMC approval)**	All internationally linked agricultural commodities as notified by FMC from time to time.

The revised trade timings, as applicable, will be effective from Monday, July 13, 2015 onwards.
